It has been a very successful year at SPM with the help of an increased inventory of Duplex S31803 and Super Duplex S32750 at our Houston Texas facility.

SPM Worldwide would like to announce that SPM Singapore has increased its stock capabilities by moving to a larger warehouse.

SPM Singapore has moved to this new warehouse to help accommodate the demand for our stock of Duplex and Super Dulpex material. With our large customer base in the Far East SPM was more than happy to move, the new area increases our capability to stock pipe, fittings and flanges in much higher volumes for the various markets around the Globe

The new warehouse is situated on Kian Teck Drive.

This 280-meter pedestrian linkway – the longest in Singapore – features a world’s first ‘double-helix’ structure, designed by an international design consortium, comprising of Australian architects Cox Group and engineers Arup, together with Singapore-based Architects 61. Inspired by the yin and yang concept in Asian culture, the architecturally unique bridge is said to bring wealth, happiness and prosperity to Marina Bay.

The Helix Bridge is an engineering feat assembled with great precision. Its curved design is created by two opposing spiral steel members, held together by a series of connecting struts, symbolising “life and continuity”, “renewal”, “everlasting abundance” and “growth”,  and resembles the structure of DNA.

The DUPLEX Helix Bridge was officially opened in June 2010!

We, at SPM-Singapore do contribute & supply Duplex materials, such as Hex.Bolts & Shear Studs, Pipes, Round Solid Bars & Plates to one of the significant & top iconic Singapore landmarks!

An arresting sight for drivers on the nearby East Coast Parkway, it’s perfectly situated to allow pedestrians to take in the view of Marina Bay, leading to the casino.

Special Piping Materials Managing Director Les Buckley was in Singapore last week to help celebrate another fantastic year at the Singapore branch.

This year has seen the company grow and grow, ending in a move to a new warehouse to hold the larger stock range of Pipes, Fittings and Flanges in Super Duplex, Duplex and Nickel Alloy, pictures coming soon!

SPM Singapore was also celebrating a successful OSEA 2010, well done!

Special Piping Materials had a successful OSEA 2010 this year in Singapore.

As you can see from the pictures we were in a superbly designed stand under Singapore Pavilion and all of SPM’s staff was there to promote SPM in the region.
